Live From Schmoodles' Delivery Room

It's 9 December at about 17:45 and Leslie is 10cm dilated and ready to begin the adrenaline inducing second stage of labor (i.e., delivery of Schmoodles). Leslie began laboring at 02:30 this morning (while I slept nearby). At 08:37 Dr. Newman burst the amniotic sac and after a few hours of severe nausea and roaming about the maternity wing, Leslie had the anesthesiologist administer an epidural. She coasted for several hours after that as contractions intensified and Schmoodles dropped (like the snow which has also dropped here in the north country over the past several hours--our first big storm of the year). Leslie now has bragging rights over The Momma who labored a mere 13 hours before delivering Leslie. Both the nurse and doctor have felt the Schmoodles' head and said that he has a lot of hair (for his sake, I hope it stays with him throughout his 30s). Now it's push time with The Momma and Scott cheer-leading. Anne appears to be in the best position to win the Schmoodles Challenge with her guess of 9 December @ 18:14 pm (Mountain Time [Phoenix] which is 19:14 pm Central Time [Illinois]). Anne edged out Deb (sis) and Annand (brother from another mother) by a few hours. Stand by for more news soon including the unveiling of Schmoodles' formal name (hint: begins with "Sch").

  5. And you better be kidding me with the whole SCH thing, even though I think that Schmoodles would be most fitting since that is what everyone in the family has gotten used to calling him anyways. LOL Korey says he thinks Price would make a lovely name.

  6. Kristin would like you to name the baby Kale or Gunner.
Kyle says he thinks the name Spock is most fitting.

  8. Korey wants everyone to know that we only have a short period of time to enjoy a world filled with only one Scott so everyone should live it up while they can.
Kristin said her first line of duty is to teach The Schmoodle's the train game.

  13. Schmoodles' formal name (hint: begins with "Sch")!!
    Okay, the hunt begins.
Here's a list I came up with thanks to IMDB & Google :)
Schindler (he'll always have a list of things)
    Schmidt (Everything is About Schmidt!)
    Schwarzenegger (CA memories)
Schneider (from "One Day at a Time")
    Schumacher (F1 & NHRA racers + a horse jockey)
Schroeder (part to of the Peanuts Gang)
I'm excited to hear the name + the pictures to come of him swimming in the rain bucket & stomping the compost pile ;)
